The Cosmo Corner is a small slice of paradise for individuals interested in beauty. Created for beauty professionals, beauty lovers and those who just want to expand their horizons. It is a space where great minds can not only think alike but talk about the issues that plague the industry.

As a current student at a cosmetology school, there are a lot of hidden issues behind the chair. From the hefty mental toll to the complicated financial workings of retirement. Oftentimes the beauty industry is over-glamorized and under-educated. The sink or swim mindset plaguing our community with competition bred and friendships not often found and maintained.

My desire for Cosmo Corner is having a space to educate those outside the beauty industry, while those inside learn more about our profession. I think it is time to start having open conversation about the issues that lay beneath the hair tinsel, highlighter and stiletto nails.
